About Marshall
Hi, I’m Marshall—creator of Truth Empowered Relationships, and co-coach with my wife, Heather.
My mission? More authentic love on this planet.
I'm a survivor of childhood sexual abuse who was told not to talk or think about it, so I did the only thing I could do: I blocked it out for decades. I was also taught to be codependent: to care about other people's feelings, but not my own.. And I carried the crushing burden of a deeply troubling secret a caregiver confided in me without my permission.
The result? A mask of happiness that hid my sadness and depression, an unconscious hiding of my needs to make myself 'more lovable'—and a long string of failed relationships.
But I loved love, and I was determined to find it.

That determination drove me to spend over twenty years, and hundreds of thousands of dollars, breaking down why relationships fail: they lack a structure that keeps love safe, emotionally and psychologically.
Then I met Heather—and everything I'd been learning came to life. In fact, I realized my whole life had been setting me up for meeting her.
Our relationship wasn't easy at first; in fact, it was a monumental challenge for us both. When Heather's trauma was triggered, she would project onto me, in ways that I had never expected to encounter in my life—and wouldn't have dreamed I was prepared to deal with. But we were both determined to have a conscious, healing relationship, so we held true to the method. Sure enough, Heather's triggers diminished, both in frequency and in intensity, and our intimacy flourished. What's more, I had postponed my own healing in relationship to hold space for Heather to heal; well, now she was equipped to hold space for me. So together, we began living what we now coach.
Because she witnessed first-hand the transformational difference this method had on her psyche and on our love, she gave me the boundless support and encouragement to turn the method into a book. I put all my hard-earned wisdom into creating Truth Empowered Relationships. It gives couples a new language—one that protects love instead of testing it.
I’m a certified master relationship coach (CMRC) and the creator of resensitization therapy, a recognized modality by the International Association of Therapists. I bring extensive training in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and many more leading personal development methods. I'm also certified in neuroscience and organizational psychology. I've been coaching couples since 2002. I also led group workshops in emotional wellness for almost a decade.
Writing has always been part of who I am. My children's play on sensitivity and emotional awareness, I Was Just Kidding, has been performed in elementary schools for 25 years. I'm also the creative director who introduced HOT-N-READY pizza for Little Caesars. I've created content for ABC and CBS.
Now, Heather and I are proud to help couples like you skip the suffering and go straight to the love I once longed for—love that feels free, safe, and deeply real.
About Heather
Hi, I’m Heather—certified reiki master, and co-coach of the Truth Empowered Relationships method with my husband Marshall.
The first time I was invited into session with a couple—where I could use my insight to offer clarity, compassion, and a new direction—I felt in my bones: this is what I’m meant to do. And to be doing it with my husband, Marshall—who held my hand as I found my way back to myself—feels like more than work. It feels like purpose. Like healing coming full circle.
I had to unlearn a lot in order to love well. I didn’t grow up with examples of safe love or honest communication. My home life was shaped by fear, gaslighting, violence, and mental illness. To survive, I became who I thought I needed to be in order to be loved. I learned to perform, to shape-shift, to stay small. I thought that once I finally had love from others, I’d be able to love myself.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but I had internalized the chaos. I developed a harsh, controlling, internal relationship that mirrored the one I had grown up in. I ignored my intuition, punished myself for speaking up, and lost trust in my own voice. I brought that into my first marriage.
When my son was born, something inside me began to shift. I didn’t want to pass on the patterns I had inherited. I started to sense the mask I was wearing, even if I didn’t yet know how to take it off. I chose to leave the life that was keeping both of us stuck.
That’s when I met Marshall.
Our connection was undeniable and deep—unlike anything I had experienced before.. It was also challenging and confronting. Being with someone emotionally available, who offered real presence, brought up everything I had buried.
And through it, I witnessed firsthand how the method Marshall had been developing impacted me. Not in a theoretical way—but in my nervous system, in how I related to myself, and in how I began to understand love. It gave me a language I had never been taught. It helped me stop abandoning myself to get what I believed was love. And it gave us a path to build something honest.
That’s when the deeper work began. Not just in our relationship, but in me. And the impact of the method Marshall was developing—on my nervous system, on my self-worth, on how I related to myself and understood love—was transformational. I knew I wanted to help others experience it too.
So now, I co-facilitate this work with Marshall, because I lived it. I know it works—and I know how it works.
In our sessions, I help you slow down, see clearly, and reconnect with the parts of yourself you may have been overriding. I notice the patterns beneath the patterns. I ask the questions that help you come back to what matters. And I hold the kind of space I always wished someone had held for me.
Truth Empowered Relationships isn’t just a framework. It’s a way of living—one that centers honesty, safety, and connection that doesn’t cost you your self.
If that’s what you’re longing for, I’m here.
